Deposits, refunds, travel and safety
Do professionals come to me, or do I go to them?
Both are on Glamly. Some professionals are mobile and travel to your address, some take appointments at their own salon or studio, and some offer both. Every profile and search result says which, so you know before you book.
What services can I book?
Hair, makeup and nails — from blowouts, braids and colour to event and bridal makeup, gel manicures and nail art. Each professional lists their own services, prices and durations.
How do deposits work?
Beauty Pros set their own service pricing, and Glamly collects a 20% booking deposit when you confirm. The deposit counts toward your total and the remaining balance is settled after your appointment. The exact split is shown before you pay.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Each professional picks their own cancellation policy — Flexible, Standard or Strict — and it is shown on their profile and at checkout before you pay. Your booking page includes a live calculator showing exactly what would be refunded if you cancelled right now.
Are there travel fees?
Only for mobile appointments. Each professional sets their own included travel distance from their base, and beyond that the per-kilometre rate they set applies. The fee is itemised on search results and in your price summary. Salon or studio appointments have no travel fee.
How far will a mobile professional travel?
Mobile professionals set their own travel radius. Glamly shows your distance on every result and flags it when your address falls outside their radius, so they can't be booked there. Salon-based professionals aren't limited by a radius — you travel to them.
Is it safe to book through Glamly?
Payments and deposits are processed by Stripe, chat stays inside the app so nobody needs your phone number, reviews are moderated before they appear, and any review can be reported for review by our team.
Can I share inspiration photos?
Yes. Upload inspiration photos during booking and they go straight to your professional along with your notes.
Can I book for a bridal party or group?
Yes. Send a request through the group and events page, or book the lead appointment and message the professional in-app with your party size to be quoted in chat.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Glamly runs in your browser and can be added to your home screen on iPhone and Android for an app-like experience.
